DFS - General terms and conditions for use of the webpage

These general terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between the participant and ESMT European School of Management and Technology GmbH at the DigitalFuture Summit at ESMT (DFS@ESMT).

We ask participants to additionally familiarize with ESMT’s Code of Conduct, which beyond others also applies to participants of events and guests of the School. Regardless of the contact points mentioned therein, you can also contact the DFS-team directly at any time (conduct@dfs.esmt.org).

These GTC and all related regulations are applicable regardless of whether an event is face-to-face, hybrid or online.

Changes or ancillary agreements require prior confirmation in written form by ESMT in order to be effective and apply only to the respective individual transaction. Conflicting terms and conditions shall not be recognized, even if they are not expressly objected to.

1. Use of the content of the DFS

  1. The content of all DFS’s sites and related platforms may only be used for personal purposes by users. Any transfer of information to a third party shall not be permitted unless this is electronically supported by the DFS (e.g. download offering for press releases). It shall be prohibited to alter or remove copyright references, trademarks or other references.

  2.  The DFS shall be free to terminate, interrupt or restrict the offering at any time as a whole or in part, in general and/or in the area only accessible to registered users.

  3.  Does not apply for the DFS.

2. Registration

  1. The user name chosen and any passwords issued may not be made accessible to third parties. In the event of abusive use of user names and/or passwords, the user must inform the DFS without delay as soon as he/she obtains knowledge of such abusive use.

  2. The user may end the authorized access granted through the user name and password at any time by sending an email to legal@dfs.esmt.org. In this case, the account of the user is deactivated. These accounts are regularly deleted. The published content of this user shall, however, be maintained.

3. Generation of content by users ("user-generated content")

  1. Does not apply for the DFS.

4. On-Campus Ticket Disclaimer

  1. This ticket fee constitutes a deposit that will be refunded once you attend the DFS event.

  2. In case of a no-show, the ticket fee is non-refundable.

  3. The refund process will be finished two weeks after the DFS event. However, participants with a special invitation and/or discount code who already received the reimbursement are exempt from it.

  4. This ticket constitutes a revocable license to enter the University of ESMT facility and observe the event for which this ticket grants admission.

  5.  The on-campus ticket is non-transferable.
